Exciting Educational Opportunity!!

Please join us at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry, Georgia on Thursday, April 10th, to learn more about the Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen with a presentation by Jolanda Huisman.  The GBGVCA and the GBGVCA Foundation are proud to co-sponsor this educational event.  Please note, this will not be a judges education presentation.   Jolanda is a well-known and respected European GBGV breeder who has been breeding Grands for more than 40 years.  She has been integral in promoting these noble hounds and mentoring breeders around the world.   In addition to her knowledge, she has achieved many milestones through the years including winning Best of Breed at the Nationale d’Elevage in France several times in addition to breeding the first GBGV to win a BIS in the United States once the breed was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 2018. 

This event is scheduled for Thursday, April 10th at 6:30 pm or 30 minutes after Best in Show in the MHH Building Conference Center.  Additional opportunities to interact with this wonderful hound breed and other GBGV enthusiasts are on Friday, April 11th, at the 2025 GBGVCA Regional Specialty and Sweepstakes and on Saturday, April 12th, at the 2025 GBGVCA National Specialty and Sweepstakes, where Jolanda will be judging sweepstakes. These events are at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry GA https://www.gnfa.com and hosted in conjunction with the Peach Blossom Cluster.  https://peachblossomcluster.org.

Hotel group rate is $115.00 plus tax with a onetime pet fee of $75.00 if dogs are in the rooms.  Reservations need to be made thru the hotel directly at 478-987-7681. Mention the GBGVCA block when you make the reservation. IMPOTANT:  When you mention the GBGVCA block please tell the them block starts on April 8 2024 so they kind find our group.  This was to accommodate anyone wanting to be there for the entire PBC.  You can adjust the dates to your specific needs once they find the block. 

Designated grooming

A designated grooming area has been assigned for the GBGVCA exhibitors. Enter EAST GATE to unload for grooming in the Sheep Barn. There will be 24-hour security. Please review and adhere to the New PBC Rules as outlined at the end of this flyer in addition to observing the following guidelines requested by the All-Breed Cluster: 

Crates must be stacked – name & local contact required on all crates One X-pen per four dogs 

No living rooms. No rugs. No Lounge Chairs NO SOFT SIDED CRATES IN GROOMING AREA. 

No strollers in exhibitor buildings

 RV reservations can be made through the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter online at the GNFA website, www.gnfa.com. No mail in reservations will be accepted. RV reservation fees will be processed in full at time of reservation. Advance reservation is strongly advised. Limited spaces may be available during the show. If spaces are available, fees must be paid in cash at the gate. Limited 50-amp circuits are available.
